Medical disclaimer
Praana is a wellness and fitness app. It is not a medical device, it is not regulated as one, and nothing in it is a diagnosis.
The short version
What Praana is and is not
- It is a place to see your own health data together, and to notice patterns in it.
- It is not a doctor, a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a substitute for any of them.
- It cannot detect, monitor or rule out a medical condition.
- If you feel unwell, do not wait for a score to tell you. Speak to a clinician.
Emergencies
Do not use Praana in an emergency
Praana has no emergency features and cannot contact anyone on your behalf. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department.
The scores
What the numbers actually mean
The sleep and stress scores are calculated from data your wearable recorded, measured against your own past readings. They describe your recent pattern. They are not clinical measurements and they carry the accuracy of whatever device produced them.
A score can be wrong. A watch that slipped, a night of shift work, a cold, or simply not enough history yet will all move a number without anything being wrong with you.
Blood Report
Reading a lab report is not interpreting it
Praana reads values off your lab PDF or a photo of it so you do not have to type them. Optical character recognition makes mistakes, so check anything that looks surprising against the original document.
Reference ranges differ between laboratories and between people. A value flagged as out of range is a prompt to ask your doctor, not a finding.
Ara
The AI is a summariser, not a clinician
Ara is a language model with access to the health data you have given Praana. It can be confidently wrong, it can misread context, and it has no way to examine you.
Every AI answer in the app is labelled as AI, every time. Treat what it says as a starting point for a conversation with a professional, not as an answer.
Medication reminder
A reminder is not a safety system
The medication reminder rings through a locked screen because a missed dose matters. It still depends on your phone being on, charged, and allowed to send notifications.
Do not rely on it alone for a medication where a missed or doubled dose is dangerous. Praana does not check doses, interactions or contraindications.
OvaFlow
Not contraception
Cycle predictions learn from your own history and are estimates. Do not use them to prevent or achieve pregnancy.
Training and food
Plans are generated, not prescribed
Workout plans and meal plans are generated from what you told the app about your goals and equipment. They do not account for injuries, allergies, pregnancy, medication or any condition you have not mentioned.
If you have a health condition, are pregnant, or are returning from injury, get a plan cleared by a professional before following it.
